EXCITING NEWS FOR SEWERS IN NORTH BAY
At the end of June, 2022, Jackie and Max will be retiring “The Sewing Machine” store at 262 Worthington St. West. But fear not, dear sewers—the folks at Gem Sewing are taking over the foot controls of the operation. With stores already located in New Liskeard and Sudbury, Gem Sewing will be opening its latest sewing supplies outlet in the old Nugget building, 259 Worthington S. West. In other words, right across the road from The Sewing Machine’s current location.
So the answer to “Why did the sewing machine store cross the road?” is all good news for all North Bay and area sewers. We’re very excited about this development as it not only ensures the ongoing operation of a North Bay sewing store focused on quality and service, it also means more choice of sewing products for all our loyal customers. In addition to the Husqvarna Viking and PFAFF lines of sewing machines and accessories, Gem Sewing will also be carrying the Brother and Janome lines. Plus a great selection of fabrics. Classes, too, will be returning in the fall. And rest assured, Gem Sewing will service all sewing machines and sergers and honour all warranties on machines purchased from The Sewing Machine.
Jackie will be working with the new owners on a part time basis, there to chat with and assist new customers and all our old friends from The Sewing Machine.
If you wish to speak with Jackie before this all happens, she will be at The Sewing Machine until the end of June. Please call her at 705-476-2739 to chat or make an appointment.
